We have recommended Avira Antivir as a great antivirus for years.  It consistently test in the top couple of antivirus for detecting things quickly.  Recently Antivir has offered a free upgrade to get the Web Guard portion of their paid version, for free.  The catch.  You have to install the new toolbar, based on the ASK toolbar.
